THE SNOB STORY

Karla Dillard-Coleman was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated with a degree in Communication with the concentration of Public Relations from Miles College. After matriculation at Miles, She enrolled at Alabama A&M University to pursue a graduate degree in Fashion Merchandising. 

 

Karla’s ingenious eye and love for fashion developed at a very young age, with her playing dress up in her mother’s favorite pair of heels and Fashion Fair Cosmetics. She wore those heels every day, after school and was completely unbothered and could careless about who was watching. This same confidence, sassiness and creativity resonates with her to this day.

 

  

The Dress Snob exemplifies all of Karla’s characteristics. From her generosity to her classy but youthful style. 

 

Karla launched her website on January 2020 with a passion to create a one of a kind shopping experience. Karla had a strong desire to create a site where women of all ages, creeds, shapes, sizes and budgets could find their dream outfit. Not just the perfect dress, but accessories as well that are needed to make it the outfit of their dreams. Karla knew she wanted to create fashion that was obtainable to everyone, because she believes that a woman's outfit strongly impacts how she feels. Everyone deserves to feel beautiful, and that is what  she sought to create.  Karla believes that “Sexiness is not a look but...a confidence.” 

 

Karla is supported by her wonderful husband of 3 years and a plethora of family and friends who believe in her vision. Karla would have never imagined she would be a boutique owner, but she is extremely grateful and thankful that God allowed her to follow and live out her dreams.
